About The Brand

Messolonghi By Locals is a cultural organization based in Messolonghi, Greece, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the unique character of the region. The organization’s mission is to promote local traditions, raise awareness of the area’s rich natural environment, and foster meaningful connections between locals and visitors. By curating experiences that blend cultural education with outdoor exploration, Messolonghi By Locals plays a key role in strengthening the community’s identity while offering travelers a more authentic and respectful way to engage with the region.

One of the organization’s flagship initiatives is the annual Messolonghi Festival—a multi-day celebration designed to bring together residents and tourists through hands-on workshops, guided outdoor activities, storytelling, local food, art, and music. The festival aims not only to entertain but also to educate participants about the region’s historical significance, environmental value, and living traditions.

My Role

I was commissioned to create a complete visual identity for the Messolonghi Festival, with the goal of capturing the spirit of the region and communicating the festival’s values to a diverse audience. The challenge was to design an identity that felt vibrant and inviting, while staying grounded in the cultural and natural heritage of Messolonghi.

I developed a flexible brand system that could be applied across both digital and print platforms. This included the festival color palette, typography, and supporting graphic elements such as illustrations.

The identity was designed to support a wide range of applications, from posters and social media graphics to event signage and merchandise.

This project was a close collaboration with the team at Messolonghi By Locals, and I was deeply involved in every step of the process, from concept development to final delivery.
